Albrecht Öhring (born in 1961) has been working for emagine since October of last year and was appointed as CEO in December of 2008. ‘In Albrecht, we are pleased to have gained a competent and experienced leader,’ says Ulrich Dietz, CEO and Chairman of the Management Board of GFT Technologies AG. ‘He will expand our position as market leader in the field of third party management of IT service providers.’

Öhring knows emagine well, after many years of experience as a customer. Prior to being appointed as Managing Director, he was the Chief Purchaser at ITERGO Information Technology, the internal IT service provider for the ERGO insurance group in Düsseldorf. From 1997 to 2003 he worked for Deutsche Bank in the Corporate Purchasing division, spending three of those years as Chief Purchaser in New York.

‘By taking over the purchasing activities of our customers, we at emagine, can offer them more freedom to take care of their core business and the chance to tap into new areas with potential,’ says Albrecht Öhring. His challenges as the new Managing Director include continuously expanding and improving the service portfolio of emagine based on customer requirements, core competencies and the current development of the market.

Albrecht Öhring holds a degree in industrial engineering and management and completed his MBA in International Sourcing at the Stuttgart Institute of Management and Technology (SIMT) in 2003.
