Stuttgart, 24 February 2010 – GFT Technologies AG (GFT) has appointed the renowned banking expert Professor Dr. Hans-Peter Burghof as a Member of the Supervisory Board. He succeeds Dr. Markus Kerber, who has been appointed to the German Ministry of Finance and who resigned from his position at his own request in November 2009.

Professor Dr. Hans-Peter Burghof, 46, is Director of the Institute of Banking and Financial Services at the University of Hohenheim. “Professor Burghof is an experienced and renowned industry expert who will strengthen our Supervisory Board. We look forward to working together,” says Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Franz Niedermaier.

The GFT Group designs and implements customised IT solutions for the financial services sector and is a strategic IT partner for many international banks and insurance companies. “With his valuable industry experience, Professor Burghof will perfectly complement the board,” says Ulrich Dietz, CEO of GFT Technologies AG. “We are very much looking forward to his valuable support with the strategic development of the GFT Group, as this will stimulate further growth and reinforce our market position.”

By order of Stuttgart District Court, Professor Burghof has been appointed initially until the Annual General Meeting on 20 May 2010, whereupon a proposal will be submitted to the shareholders concerning his election to the Supervisory Board of GFT Technologies AG.
