As well as using new mobile technologies to communicate, consumers and companies want to use their mobiles to carry out business transactions, including financial transactions. An increasing number of banks are therefore making their online banking portals compatible with mobile devices, in many cases integrating mobile solutions and location-based services. There is no reason why mobile usage should be limited to accessing online banking, however. Mobiles can also become a method of payment: micro-payments via mobile are already becoming quite common.

The GFT Mobile Finance Competence Centre develops platform-independent mobile applications following a three step approach. In the mobility consulting module, we evaluate the potential of mobile technologies for your products, services and processes, as well as suggestions for improving organisational processes if required. Our prototypes can be rapidly implemented in the mobility development module using new or existing processes. Finally, in the mobility integration module, these applications are integrated into your existing back-end processes.
