GFT Canada bolsters its positioning in the Canadian financial services market by welcoming Ramapriyan Gopal

Based in the Greater Toronto Area, Ram brings nearly three decades of experience in IT management consulting, core banking, and large-scale digital transformation. His leadership will be instrumental in driving GFT’s growth and strengthening its position in Canada’s dynamic financial services sector.

In his new role, Ram will lead strategy, business development, and client innovation efforts across banking, insurance, and wealth management. His focus will be on building strong executive partnerships, delivering purpose-built cloud, AI, and modernization solutions, and helping Canadian financial institutions stay ahead in an increasingly competitive and regulated environment.

With a proven track record of delivering complex transformation programs for global banks and financial services providers, Ram is known for his ability to combine business acumen with deep technical expertise. Throughout his career, he has successfully helped clients modernize legacy systems, adopt digital platforms, meet evolving regulatory requirements, and elevate the customer experience.

At GFT, he will oversee business expansion efforts across Canada beyond Quebec, working closely with industry partners and internal teams to co-create high-impact solutions that address the local market’s unique challenges and opportunities.
