Umberto has a wealth of experience in the IT industry, initially as a project manager and then in managerial roles both at financial institutions and consulting firms.

He is currently responsible for the insurance client unit at GFT Italy and provides support on the insurance offering of the GFT Group. His expertise includes both business development and delivery management, spanning a variety of areas including sales planning, budget management, project management, business requirements, enterprise architecture, partner management and the cloud.

Aware of the importance of working in a team, he invests time in colleagues and business partners to foster a working environment that offers a combination of customer commitment, extended objectives, quality of delivery and professional growth. He feels comfortable dealing with uncertainty and managing dynamic situations, driven by a desire to develop and improve continuously as an individual.

What is your current role at the company and what are your responsibilities?

I'm responsible for the insurance client unit at GFT Italy and provide support on the insurance offering of the GFT Group. My main focus lies in back-end renewal with our partner Guidewire, data management, antifraud and customer centricity.

What led you to join GFT and how have you progressed through your time here? your time here?

I had the pleasure of working with a person who had a clear strategy for the future of GFT Italy (Sapient Italy at that time), and thanks to his support and guidance, I found myself in a position to grow beyond my role as a project manager into the account's client unit manager.
