Stuttgart, 15 March 2023 – Ulrich Dietz, founder and Chairman of the Administrative Board of GFT Technologies, has been honoured by Lünendonk, one of the leading market research companies across the German-speaking countries, with the Lünendonk B2B Service Award for his life’s work.
Jörg Hossenfelder, Managing Partner of Lünendonk, explained the award: “Ulrich Dietz is a true pioneer of innovation and technology. He is a man of action, his services to Germany as a business location and especially with regard to the digital transformation of our country can hardly be overestimated. This also means pointing out our deficiencies and driving us forward. He is not afraid to talk openly about those areas where we as a country still need to improve.”
After founding GFT in 1987, Ulrich Dietz headed the company for thirty years and has been Chairman of the Administrative Board of GFT Technologies SE since 2017. Under his leadership, GFT developed from a small firm in the Black Forest into a leading international provider of software solutions for the financial and insurance sectors as well as the manufacturing industry. The company now employs over 10,000 people around the world.
The Lünendonk B2B Service Award has been presented since 2011. Previous recipients who have been honoured for their life’s work include August-Wilhelm Scheer, Hermann Simon, Roland Berger, Claus Wisser and Péter Horváth. Ulrich Dietz was named Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young in 2011 and received the Order of Merit of the State of Baden-Württemberg in 2017.
