‘I’m sharing my vision to help other people dream, so we can all make our mark’

In a similar way, this profession is always evolving. It’s like a constant stream of rewarding moments – snapshots in time – as we build something great. As a Project Leader in systems engineering with a team to support, digesting complex information and then simplifying it for others is a rewarding part of my role.

So, whether it’s using photography to share my vision of the world, or thinking ‘outside the box’ at work, I’m committed to coming up with ideas that deliver practical solutions. I’m also known for my light-hearted nature, being ‘up for anything, anytime.’
In fact, as a leader of a six-strong team, I think it’s important to inspire others with words and actions. Two quotes that I keep close to hand are ‘the brave are not those without fear, but those who do what must be done despite it’ and ‘it’s a bit clumsy, but determined’, when humour’s required in moments of deadlock.
Meanwhile – and since moving to GFT Bogotá with Sophos – I’ve been impressed by my new colleagues’ capacity for kindness, humility, intelligence and dedication. GFT feels like a family, and one with exceptional talent that values ongoing learning and innovation.

The transition has been very successful for me. I see GFT as having some amazing technology. The AI Impact tool accelerates day-to-day processes across the development lifecycle – everything from generating use cases and tasks, scoring them, debugging code, documenting pull requests, providing general project documentation, and more.

I committed to understanding how it could be used. That effort has opened up new opportunities with two clients so far, with shortened delivery times and better-quality deliverables.
Some people worry that AI technology might replace us. But my fear is getting too comfortable with what I already know, and not taking advantage of these tools. I believe that striving to stay curious is the best way to leave a lasting impact at GFT.
