At this recent GFT & Google Cloud event at Google HQ in London, a large audience discovered how to create a monolith to microservices strategy that really works for financial institutions and how continuous deployment enables multiple software releases daily, quickly and securely. GFT also presented on how to realise the benefits of improved business agility, increased competitive advantage and significant cost control capabilities across the business.

The goal for many companies is to create an environment that enables multiple software releases per day into production (including ‘canary’ releases) whilst adhering to security and regulatory requirements. This is a crucial shift for a financial services industry still typically constrained by extensive and inflexible lead times, culminating in the next ‘do-or-die’ system release.

GFT specialists showcased at the event how our tailored microservices accelerator uses Google technology (including Kubernetes, Istio, Apigee and Infrastructure as Code) enable the rapid build of applications that deliver all the benefits of continuous software delivery and deployment.

We believe that utilising Google Cloud and GFT’s accelerators will deliver clients unprecedented cost efficiency, scale and customer centricity.
