If you want to, you won't stand still

I joined GFT 6 years ago as a Senior Oracle Developer. At the time, I was taking my very first steps in an international environment. Then I became a "one-man army", working in the client's team to develop functionalities based on MS SQL Server. I was quickly promoted to Team/Technical Lead. Then, I got a proposal to join the project as an analyst who additionally leads the team, and I decided that I wanted to prove myself in this role. I have always been interested in the business aspect of the projects we deliver and I wanted to fully understand their purpose.

 

In the project in which I am currently working, I continue to work closer to business and act as an analyst in the area of reference data processing related to the BCBS 239 regulation. The role is interesting because it covers many aspects, such as detailing customer requirements, cooperation with source systems, data validation and assistance in its modelling. At the same time, it is a role that is very close to technology, and that is something I wouldn’t want to give up. 

At GFT, I am surrounded by a lot of great and committed people who develop their own initiatives with full support from the company. I've made a good use out of this potential too. In order to deepen my knowledge of DLT technology, together with a colleague from Business Consulting, we came up with an a solution based on blockchain, supporting the Know Your Customer process in financial institutions. We convinced other people to believe in the idea and they helped us prepare a PoC. We presented it to potential clients and to the Working Group on Diffuse and Blockchain Registers at the Ministry of Digitalization, which we’re a part of.

My entire professional history at GFT shows that here we can truly GROW in different directions. If we just want to, we won't stand still in this company, or remain stuck in the same technology stack or work for a single client.
