AWS Financial Services Competency status serves as a guide for GFT’s clients
Financial institutions benefit from GFT’s knowledge and experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Stuttgart, 05 May, 2022 – Cloud has moved from leading edge to the baseline of banking success. A recent GFT survey revealed that 95% of banks adopt cloud to improve time to market, while 86% of them do it to improve innovation and scalability. Although these objectives might seem ambitious, they are achievable if the transition to cloud is regarded as an opportunity to re-imagine systems and applications.
In the context of cloud, specialised partner guidance is essential. For this reason, GFT is pleased to announce that it has achieved AWS Financial Services Competency status. This designation recognises GFT for the delivery of effective solutions to help its clients manage critical issues pertaining to the industry, such as risk management, core systems implementations, data management, navigating compliance requirements, and establishing governance models.
“It can be difficult for financial institutions to find the right partner for their cloud project. Our competency status helps them to be sure they are in good hands,” said Alpesh Tailor, Group Head of Banking Solutions and Cloud at GFT. “With over 500 AWS certifications held by our experts and many successful projects delivered, our team is dedicated to helping customers in the financial services industry achieve their business goals by leveraging the agility of AWS.”
Demonstrated proficiency and client success
Achieving the AWS Financial Services Competency differentiates GFT as an AWS Partner that has demonstrated relevant technical proficiency and proven client success, delivering solutions seamlessly on AWS. To receive the designation, AWS Partners must possess deep AWS expertise and undergo an assessment of the security, performance, and reliability of their solutions.
Some of the financial services organisations for whom GFT has delivered AWS-related projects include:
- Mox
- Portal de Documentos
- One of France’s largest insurance companies
- A leading European retail bank
- An independent insurance broker
Being part of the AWS Competency Program helps clients identify AWS Partners with deep industry experience and expertise. In addition to the AWS Financial Services Competency, GFT has previously achieved AWS Migration Competency and AWS DevOps Competency status.
BankLiteX, accelerating cloud-based digital banking
In 2021, GFT launched BankLiteX, a modular, end-to-end solution that enables firms to create and deploy a cloud-based, digital banking entity, faster than previously possible. BankLiteX has been developed in collaboration with Thought Machine and runs on AWS.
With BankLiteX, financial institutions can:
- Reduce risks with a pre-defined operating model. Digital channels, core functionality and third-party integration is already built-in to the same cloud infrastructure. Instead, IT teams can focus on CX and process-specific requirements.
- Jumpstart a full digital transformation by replacing or extending old legacy systems.
- Deploy in multiple countries with minimal changes. They just adapt existing components to their regions to provide full compliance with regulatory requirements.
