São Paulo, April 2026 – GFT Technologies, a pioneering company in Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions and digital transformation, has just been recognised as the winner of the 2026 Google Cloud Partner of the Year Award in the “Infrastructure Modernization: Latin America” category, a prestigious global distinction awarded by Google Cloud to its strategic partners. The official award ceremony took place on April 21st, during Google Cloud Next 2026, an event that brings together technology and innovation leaders from around the world.

The recognition highlights GFT's role in leading complex, large-scale infrastructure modernisation projects, focusing on agility, automation, and measurable business impact. “The Google Cloud Partner Awards honor the strategic innovation and measurable value our partners bring to customers,” said Kevin Ichhpurani, President, Global Partner Ecosystem and Channels, Google Cloud. “We are proud to name GFT a 2026 Google Cloud Partner Award winner, celebrating their role in driving customer success over the last year.”

It is the second consecutive year that GFT has received a Partner of the Year title.

For Alessandro Buonopane, CEO of GFT Technologies for Brazil and Latin America, the recognition reinforces the company's strategic positioning in the region. “Receiving this award is a clear validation of our ability to execute complex projects with excellence and generate real impact for our clients. More than modernising infrastructure, we are helping large organisations reconfigure their technological foundations to compete in an increasingly data-driven, artificial intelligence-driven, and innovation-driven environment”, says the executive.

GFT's performance has stood out especially in highly regulated sectors, such as finance, where the modernisation of critical systems requires not only technical excellence, but also security, governance, and operational precision. The company combines the use of native Google Cloud technologies with proprietary solutions, such as the Wynxx platform, which uses advanced AI models to accelerate the analysis and transformation of legacy systems. This differentiator allows for more efficient migration journeys, reducing risks and operational costs.

Key projects in Latin America

GFT's portfolio in the region includes high-impact projects, such as:

  • Banco Safra: Conducted a comprehensive assessment to modernise the bank's mainframe and core systems, using proprietary methodology and GFT’s Legacy Transformer platform to map dependencies, calculate ROI, and define a migration roadmap to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Banco BV: Executed multiple waves of modernisation, including migration of legacy Sybase workloads to GCP, upgrading the Flexcube core banking system, and automating infrastructure provisioning with Terraform, integrated with a cloud-first strategy with AI and secure data platforms.
  • NaPista: Complete migration from Amazon Web Services (AWS) to GCP, assuming full responsibility for the transition, with application of Google Cloud Landing Zone practices and automation via Terraform.
  • Actinver (Mexico): One of the most ambitious infrastructure modernisation programs in the region, with migration of core banking systems, including Oracle Flexcube on Exadata, to Exadata on GCP, becoming a benchmark for Oracle-to-GCP transformations in Latin America.

These projects reflect GFT's role not only as a systems integrator, but as a strategic partner with deep expertise in native cloud and a structured modernisation approach, from assessment and roadmap definition to automated provisioning – through Infrastructure-as-Code –, testing, migration and FinOps, all aligned with Google Cloud's architecture blueprints.

As a result, clients have achieved significant gains in efficiency, scalability and cost reduction, while strengthening their technological base for future innovation.

A strategic partnership in expansion

GFT’s partnership with Google Cloud has expanded in recent years, both in Brazil and globally, with joint initiatives for business development, innovation and co-creation of solutions. The joint work already extends to several sectors, such as manufacturing, energy, financial services and data management, always focusing on data-driven solutions, artificial intelligence and sustainability.

“The partnership with Google Cloud is strategic for GFT, which is experiencing a moment of expansion and consolidation as one of the leading references in digital transformation. We share a commitment to innovation, scalability, and real business impact that is transforming entire industries”, says Jonatas Leandro, VP of Innovation and Business Development in Brazil and Latin America at GFT Technologies.

With this new recognition, GFT reinforces its position as one of the leading companies in infrastructure modernisation in Latin America, standing out for its combination of technical expertise, continuous innovation, and ability to execute critical projects. The award at Google Cloud Next 2026 marks another important chapter in the company's trajectory, which continues to expand its presence and impact on the global technology landscape.

The partnership with Google Cloud is strategic for GFT, which is experiencing a moment of expansion and consolidation as one of the leading references in digital transformation. We share a commitment to innovation, scalability, and real business impact that is transforming entire industries.
