GFT promotes diversity and gender equality through the WomenTech Mentoring Program
As part of our commitment and strategy to reduce the ICT gender gap in the IT market, GFT launched the WomenTech Mentoring Program, an internal initiative exclusively dedicated to GFT female employees in tech roles. Led by our Learning&Development team it aims to help women feel empowered, confident and increase their visibility in a sector that is predominantly male.
Twenty-one participants joined eight mentoring sessions, including a kickoff meeting with our CEO Marika Lulay. During these sessions, they had the chance to receive valuable career advice from mentors and speakers, share experiences and grow their network within the company. As a final project, each participant created a presentation on a topic of choice.
The 1st edition of the program took place in Spain last March. Ever since, more GFT countries have expressed interest in participating, and now we expect to expand the program even further with a growing number of participants.
Congratulations to all GFT USA, Costa Rica, Germany, and Switzerland women who successfully completed the 3rd edition of GFT’s WomenTech Mentoring Program!
“It was a very rewarding event for the participant mentees and mentors as much as for the speakers and the program organizers. We will continue to hold more editions of the program to allow even more GFT women to be part of this movement and thus prepare more women to fill leadership roles in the tech community.”
