Group Executive Board
Jens-Thorsten Rauer is new to GFT in 2020. As member of the Group Executive Board he is responsible for the Regions Central and Western Europe. His goal is to further develop these markets and drive growth and profitability in a sustainable manner across the two regions. In addition, he is driving forward business with industrial clients in line with our strategy and, in particular, establishing and expanding GFT's asset and product business.
Wide experience in financial sector
In his previous role, Jens-Thorsten was leading the DXC business with Banking and Capital Markets clients in North, Central and Eastern Europe. Based on his accountability for the operational sales and earnings results (P&L) he led the definition and implementation of respective go-to-market strategies and plans including the development and commercialisation of DXC’s Software and services portfolio for the banking and capital markets clients.
Jens-Thorsten previously served as Managing Director Financial Services, Central and Eastern Europe for HP and HP Enterprise, with P&L responsibility for the insurance and banking business in this region. In that role, he successfully drove profitable revenue growth, returning the business to innovation and outcomes, whilst at the same time increasing client satisfaction. Prior to this he held several business and sales executive roles at IBM; earlier in his career he served as a Senior Vice President of Global Infrastructure and Run Services for Dresdner Bank, and following the acquisition through Allianz also in the wider Allianz/Dresdner Bank corporation.
Jens-Thorsten graduated from the European Business School with a Master of Business Administration and an MSc in Computer Science. He also earned an Executive MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, VA/USA along with the MBA degree of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-University in Frankfurt/Main in Germany.
