The goal of this project is to teach students how a modern insurance system like Guidewire works, enabling them to progress faster and quickly understand the environment in which they may be working upon graduation.
According to Nathalie Larose, Executive Director of Cégep de Sainte-Foy, "Thanks to this initiative, students at Cégep de Sainte-Foy will benefit from exceptional training. They will be able to explore the real-life operation of an actual insurance system put in place by more than 540 insurers around the world, including many of Canada’s leading insurance companies. This immersion in the Guidewire environment will enable them to acquire invaluable skills that they can put into practice as soon as they enter the job market."
"This collaboration will enable insurers in the province of Quebec to overcome the skills shortage and hire future experts who will already have practical knowledge and experience. They will be able to work with this solution to support their day-to-day work," explains Éric Marcoux, Vice-President, Solutions Optimization and Property & Casualty Insurance at Beneva.
This union between education and the professional world paves the way for a promising future for the insurance industry in Quebec. By investing in the next generation of workers, Beneva, GFT, and Guidewire, demonstrate their commitment to developing an adaptable, skilled workforce capable of meeting the challenges of the future.
