Some of my happiest moments are spent playing with my daughter, finding calm through yoga or escaping into a good book. And, as a devoted dog lover, I know how important it is to leave work worries behind when I’m off the clock.

That’s why one of the most rewarding parts of my role at GFT has been the opportunity to bring some of the peace and fulfilment I find in my own life into the workplace, making a meaningful, human impact.

My true passion lies in supporting people’s mental well-being – helping them grow, build resilience, and naturally become more productive. In addition to leading Emotional Management workshops, I created the Emotional Management Academy (EMA) at GFT Mexico to foster more harmonious, meaningful interactions in and out of the workplace.

Emotional management had already come up at work, to help people handle stress and client interactions better. As I’d just completed my masters’ degree in Emotional Ecology, the EMA seemed like a way of helping everyone.

My goal was to give GFT employees new ways of adaptively managing their emotions at all times – whether at work, with their friends, or at home. It was based on the emotional ecology model that I’d studied, which thinks about emotions in a similar way to environmental ecology.

Emotional ecology is defined as the art of managing our emotional worlds sustainably. Essentially, when individuals improve, everything around them also evolves.

My own experience backs that up, and the EMA was designed to demonstrate to people their own ability to sustainably manage their emotional worlds – to enhance that ability, and to demonstrate that it’s a collective effort where everybody wins.

I believe the EMA has truly succeeded in fostering a healthier, more productive workplace at GFT Mexico. People are communicating more openly, and attendees have noticed a real shift—greater emotional intelligence in others and a stronger sense of resilience in themselves. We’re excited to bring it back next year.

I’m deeply proud of GFT’s commitment to enhancing employees’ quality of life, creating an inclusive work culture, and nurturing emotional intelligence. My goal is to continue inspiring and empowering our teams, building a fairer, more equitable future together.

For me, it’s the greatest privilege just to watch people growing to fulfil their full potential.
