Focussing innovation: GFT becomes major partner of the new.New Festival 2018

Stuttgart, 17 July 2018 – After the inaugural new.New Festival in 2016 with more than 5,000 participants from 15 countries, CODE_n is back with the second edition. Once again, GFT is a major partner of the event. This time, it is all about Intelligence X.0. The event will take place from 8 to 10 October 2018 at the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle in Stuttgart, Germany’s stronghold of industry. It offers GFT a perfect opportunity to show state-of-the-art business and latest technology cases. Moreover, the IT company will seize the chance to discuss digital trends with pathbreakers from around the globe and to connect with digital pioneers. Therefore, GFT focusses on artificial intelligence, blockchain, cloud and data analytics – especially with respect to the new industry business offering and financial services.

Machine Intelligence, Beyond Reality, and Cryptographic Trust are the forward-looking categories that will be explored by the most disruptive start-ups. The Top 50 finalists of this year’s CODE_n CONTEST will be given the chance to showcase their tech applications at the festival. 313 applicants from 42 nations submitted their ideas. 50 start-ups from 15 countries, including Brazil, South Africa, the US, Lithuania, Israel and Germany won through in the end.

Fitting with the overarching new.New Festival themes, GFT will promote the four currently most relevant technologies of artificial intelligence, blockchain, big data analytics and cloud. Above all, the company will further present new insight about Industry 4.0, enabled by the Internet of Things (IoT) which places IT right at the centre – precisely where GFT already sits.

GFT experts from different countries will demonstrate their expertise through concrete use cases and success stories. They will participate in the event by taking part in speeches, workshops and meetings. For instance, GFT will set up design sprint workshops, and as Jürgen Görner, GFT’s Global Head of Marketing states: “Our goal is to do real sessions with real design challenges and real customers, with about 15 people in total involved. This will create an end-to-end understanding of what software and technology is about: Starting with a challenge then creating a mock-up, followed by the Proof of Concept (PoC) and finally implementing the solution. All that in a rather short timeframe – to show that time-to-market is key.”

At the festival, CODE_n and partners will welcome anyone from around the globe who is passionate about tech topics, innovation and entrepreneurship. Moritz Gräter, General Manager of CODE_n, highlights: „GFT has been a CODE_n partner since the very beginning, and during the event will demonstrate the numerous opportunities modern technologies are already opening up.
