GFT sells inboxx subsidiary to DataGlobal
Stuttgart, 17 May 2010 - GFT Technologies AG (GFT) today announced the sale of its subsidiary in Hamburg, GFT inboxx GmbH, to DataGlobal GmbH. The GFT Group thereby continues its strategy of increased focus on IT consultancy and application development, as well as the placement of IT specialists.
“Selling GFT inboxx GmbH to such a resourceful partner as DataGlobal GmbH is an important step for the successful further development of GFT inboxx GmbH”, comments GFT's CEO, Ulrich Dietz. This sale expands GFT’s existing strategic partnership with DataGlobal GmbH, which aims to integrate the inboxx family of products into its Enterprise Resource Suite (ERS) and thus expand its range of services. In the future, mutual marketing and development activities should even more effectively meet the market demands for integrated software solutions from a single source.
The sale means that the GFT group will be detaching from its Software division, and it underlines the consistent strategic alignment of the group towards the two segments of Services and Resourcing.
With its digital archiving solutions, based on the unified archiving approach, GFT inboxx GmbH had created a central document management system for all relevant company data. In 2009, the Software division generated segment revenues of 4.62 million euros, thus representing 2 percent of the overall turnover of the GFT group.
DataGlobal GmbH is a technology leader in the area of modular software for professional storage and information management. “We believe that the integration of GFT inboxx GmbH into DataGlobal GmbH is the logical continuation of the long-standing, successful cooperation between our two companies. The product portfolio of GFT inboxx GmbH complements our ERS product suite to provide the most comprehensive worldwide solution in information management and data classification”, says Wolfgang Munz, CEO and founder of DataGlobal GmbH.
Both parties have agreed to keep the purchase price confidential.
